Penina

COURSE INFORMATION

The Championship course has  staged the Portuguese Open six times including 1998 and the 10th World Team Championship in 1976. Being set around the hotel the complex offers the out of bed and onto the fairway feel which is well known in USA courses and makes it ideal for hosting large tournaments This golf and hotel resort has two additional courses. Soft spiked shoes and handicap certificates are required to play the Championship course. Shady woodland and the impressive on site facilities have made the complex one of the homes of golf in the Algarve, Continued investment in facilities ensures that despite its maturity Penina golf remains as polished as ever. As the Algarve only has one main road and Penina sits astride it the complex cannot be missed. Between Portimao and Lagos on the EN125. Take care this is an accident blackspot on the road.
